2024 Geneva Motor Show: MG9 EV unveiled

On February 26, at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show, the MG9 EV (domestically known as Feifan F7) was officially unveiled. It is reported that in the future, the new car will be exported to the European market together with the MG S9 EV (domestically called Feifan R7) that will be unveiled simultaneously at this auto show.

The overall design of the MG9 EV continues the domestic Feifan F7 model, except that the MG brand LOGO is changed. The front face of the new car is equipped with "squinting" LED daytime running lights, which are highly recognizable. Viewed from the side, the new car has very smooth lines, and the vehicle’s wind resistance coefficient reaches 0.206. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 5000x1953x1494mm, and the wheelbase is 3000mm.

In terms of interior, the new car also continues the domestic new car, equipped with a 43-inch integrated triple screen design, consisting of a 10.25-inch LCD instrument, a 15.05-inch OLED central control screen and a 12.3-inch passenger screen, and is encapsulated by an integrated glass panel. The air-conditioning outlets are still designed on both sides and below the triple screen. In addition, the air-conditioning outlets under the new car also have an air guide device.

The new car is equipped with the RISING OS smart cabin interactive system and is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 flagship chip. The sliding and switching of the interface is very smooth. The display effect of the central control screen is very delicate and the colors are relatively bright. The interface layout is in the form of a mainstream card + Dock shortcut bar, which can carry out functions such as navigation, audio-visual entertainment, air conditioning control, vehicle settings, Internet of Vehicles, and OTA remote upgrades. The voice operating system can more accurately distinguish sound sources in different locations, and the logic and fluency of dialogue are also relatively good.

In terms of power, the new car is available in single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive. The single-motor model has a maximum power of 250kW, a maximum torque of 400N·m, and an acceleration time of 0-100km/h of 5.7 seconds; The dual-motor model has a total motor power of 400kW, a total torque of 700N·m, and an acceleration time of 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds. In terms of battery, the entry-level model will be equipped with a 77kWh ternary lithium battery, and other models will use a 90kWh ternary lithium battery. Among them, the 90kWh rear-drive long-range Pro version CLTC has a maximum cruising range of 666km.
