In December 1999, the first Buick GL8 rolled off the production line at the Pudong Jinqiao Base of SAIC General Motors, ushering in the golden era of domestic business MPVs. After 22 years of development and five generations of product evolution, Buick GL8 has developed from a single model into a GL8 MPV family with 16 models in three product series: GL8 Avia, GL8 ES Luzun and GL8 Land Business Class, and has launched four/ Three seat layouts of six/seven seats, as well as welfare version models, meet users' diversified and quality car needs.

From January to November this year, the cumulative sales of Buick GL8 series models were 149,175 units, a year-on-year increase of 9%. Among them, GL8 Aivia and GL8 ES Luzun sales accounted for nearly 60%, and the product structure and sales quality continued to improve. At the same time, among domestic medium and large luxury MPVs priced at more than 300,000 yuan, the sales volume of GL8 accounts for nearly 43%, ranking first in the market segment; among joint venture brand MPV models, GL8 accounts for as high as 53%.

The Buick GL8 flagship concept car, which debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show not long ago, indicates that the Buick GL8 family will continue to expand and continue to develop higher-end and more luxurious MPV segments. market.
