The launch of MG EXE181 is to pay tribute to the MG EXE181 that set the 20th century surface speed of 410.5km/h in 1959. This achievement was not broken until 2014 by Bugatti. The challenger at the time, Phil Hill, also became the first American F1 world champion two years later.
