It is reported that Volkswagen is the first automobile manufacturer to support the construction of industrial-scale renewable energy and will invest approximately 40 million euros in Europe by 2025. Volkswagen's construction of wind power projects in Sweden is also fulfilling its responsibility as a leader in the new energy field. Its goal is to achieve carbon neutrality in the entire life cycle of the ID. series models.
For reference, Volkswagen’s new energy market share in Sweden from January to November 2021 was 20%, with sales of 9,300 vehicles; ID.4 has sold 9,300 vehicles in Sweden from January to November 2021; Sales topped the list in the middle of the month. At the same time, data from January to October 2021 shows that Volkswagen has delivered a total of 290,000 electrified vehicles to European users, three times the number in 2020.
Volkswagen plans that by 2030, 70% of its sales in Europe will be pure electric models, and more than 50% of its sales in North America and China will be electric vehicles. In addition, Volkswagen also plans to launch at least one new pure electric model every year.
